About the Alabama Association of Career Colleges
The Alabama Association of Career Colleges (AACC) is a subsidiary of the Alliance for Career Education in the States (ACES). Our mission is simple: to support institutions that are preparing Alabama's workforce, elevate the value of career-focused education, and advocate for policies that strengthen access, affordability, and student success.
AACC provides Alabama's schools with a unified platform for collaboration, communication, and state-based advocacy. Through this partnership, institutions gain access to legislative updates, policy resources, professional development, and a community of leaders committed to advancing high-quality postsecondary career education.
All Alabama institutions are encouraged to join AACC to help build a stronger, more coordinated voice for students, educators, and employers across the state. AACC members can receive special pricing on Certified Higher Education Professional (CHEP) courses offered through MaxKnowledge. The CHEP certification courses help career education institutions to enhance employee credentials and performance resulting in increased institutional effectiveness and student outcomes. Additionally, nationally certified faculty and staff set participating institutions apart in the career education sector.

In times when the political climate is particularly threatening, AACC will facilitate a sector-led advocacy campaign to directly engage state legislators and regulators on key topics impacting schools and students.
